ABOUT I WROTE

Aubrey’s first book, I Wrote – a lesson in Poetry, is a collection of over 230 poems about love, pain, friends, family, life, religion and other themes classified into 11 chapters and written over the past 10 years.

In an attempt to express himself, the author has given us such timeless poems us Places in Times, Graffiti, The Accident, Soweto, MGM, just to mention a few.

The colourful poems, the use of the simplest of words transport your imagination to a part of the reader which is forgotten or undiscovered is what sets this book apart from others. To a large extent, this is not your everyday poetry and may be termed as something to mark the 21st century by; something to learn from; a lesson in poetry.

While we hope to wait less than the 10 plus years it took for this book for another, we warm our hearts with quotes and imagery delivered by Aubrey and hope that his next book will deliver at par with this, if not better.
